Mind Tools shortlisted for two categories in The Learning Awards 2023
The Learning Live awards are hosted by the Learning and Performance Institute and recognize innovation and achievement in workplace learning.
Mind Tool are proud to be shortlisted in two categories this year, both of which recognize our excellent learning solutions that empower people to thrive in the workplace.
External Learning Solution of the year – In partnership with Burberry
This award is presented to a learning provider that has undertaken a major learning and development project or projects for a client that are innovative in concept.
This year we’ve been working with Burberry to help them make DE&I become a regular part of their shared global agenda. Our Learning Experience team worked with Burberry’s subject matter experts to lead on the development of 10-minute digital ‘Episodes’ which give colleagues an opportunity to explore their biases and experience life in someone else’s shoes.
“It's an honor to be shortlisted in this category with our development partner Mind Tools for Business. At Burberry, we believe that education is crucial to building the understanding that leads to long-lasting change. By giving all colleagues access to the same learning experience, we created a collective understanding of DE&I, acknowledged local differences, and have made a real impact across our business. Mind Tools have been key to the success of this project.”
Chalene Hanson, Senior Manager, Colleague Experience, Burberry
Learning Culture of the Year Award – In partnership with Heathrow
This award is presented to an organization that has demonstrated an environment that enables learning to flourish and happen naturally in the flow of work, creating a ‘lifelong’ learning mindset.
Over the last year we’ve worked with the team at Heathrow to help solve their challenge to put learning at the heart of their culture. With air travel being one of the hardest hit industries during the pandemic the team were determined to relaunch their learning brand to empower employees across the organization.
By identifying current challenges to learning across the company and using insights from behavioral sciences we could see that practical on-the-job resources, combined with a series of ‘nudge’ campaigns to drive behaviors, would best help create a proactive learning culture.
"With help from Mind Tools, we developed an engagement plan, customized the platform, created re-usable ‘nudge’ assets, and captured colleague stories to inspire others. This was an organization-wide effort, with support from internal comms, HR and even our CEO. What we’ve seen through these efforts is a shift away from ‘spoon-feeding’ learning, to colleagues seeking out support when they need it."
Steph Constantinides, Digital Learning Design Specialist at Heathrow
The winners will be announced on 16th February 2023 at The Learning Awards in London.
